El viernes 10 de mayo, en el Centro de Extensión UCM (EXT UCM) de Talca, llevará a cabo la conferencia “Proyecto Ocio: Las Fronteras de la Productividad en los Campos Creativos”, a cargo de Carla Pinochet, Paula Salas y Constanza Tobar.
La actividad, que es apoyada por el FONDART, es gratuita y se desarrollará en 3 Norte 650, entre 1 y 2 Poniente.
La iniciativa, de acuerdo a lo explicado por Carla Pinochet, “surge del interés por comprender los modos en que los campos culturales experimentan una suerte de contradicción basal: aunque disfrutan de su trabajo y realizan en éste su vocación, el trabajo cultural se encuentra atravesado por precariedades estructurales que lo vuelven difícil de regular”.
Asimismo, comentó que “la sociedad tiene la percepción arraigada de que los artistas y creadores trabajan poco, o que lo que hacen no es exactamente un trabajo, pero lo que observamos es más bien lo contrario: trabajan todo el tiempo, no hay un afuera del trabajo para ellos”.
Además, agregó que a los trabajadores del arte y la cultura “con frecuencia, se les paga con recompensas simbólicas”, por ello es importante “documentar cómo conviven el ocio y el trabajo en este tipo de trabajadores, en miras a fomentar discusiones y promover políticas públicas que nos permitan regular de mejor modo estas condiciones laborales, a la vez que asegurar buenas condiciones para el desarrollo de las prácticas artísticas y culturales que son fundamentales para el país”.

La investigación fue realizada en Santiago, pero Carla Pinochet explicó que pese a ello, “dado su carácter metropolitano y la factibilidad de comparar nuestros resultados con otras ciudades del mundo, nos interesa comprender otras escenas culturales nacionales y compartir con ellas nuestros hallazgos”.
En la misma línea dijo que “el Centro de Extensión nos ofreció un espacio para ello, y creemos que nuestras reflexiones pueden ser útiles y significativas también para los productores culturales de la ciudad de Talca”.
